PRODUCT DETAILS
Edible Artist Glaze is a high quality shellac based glaze, created by international celebrity culinary artist Chef Karen Marie Portaleo. It is low in viscosity and is absolutely transparent without any suspended particles or turbidity. Its color value is very low as shellac used is highly pure and de-colored. It is best to coat painting made using Edible Artists’ Oil Paint on Fondant, Chocolate, Modelling Chocolate, Royal Icing, Pastillage, Pie Crust, Edible Clay, even Wafer Paper. It will give satin finish to the final paint. It dries quite fast and creates smooth finish. Alternatively, it can be also used to prepare surface. Sometimes, food product on which painting is to be done is too porous or rough. In such cases, surface preparations is needed by applying one or two coats of Edible Artist Glaze to prepare a smooth and proper surface for painting using Edible Artist Oil Paints. It’s same as applying wall putty to walls before actual painting.
